"Teachable Moments" Ignored

Stuck on Stupid

For someone who loves to lecture us on "teachable moments," you'd think he'd learn from one. One year into his presidency, The Chosen One's policies have been rebuked by the American public. Now, in his best "it ain't my fault" chat with Georgie Stephanopoulos, he tries to explain how even the bluest of bluest states rejected his radical left agenda. Unfortunately, it looks like he still doesn't get it. Today's NY Post has the full recap.

We were just so darn busy, we didn't effectively communicate with the public!

"If there's one thing that I regret this year, it's that we were so busy just getting stuff done and dealing with the immediate crises that were in front of us, that I think we lost some of that sense of speaking directly to the American people about what their core values are and why we have to make sure those institutions are matching up with those values," said Obama.

We should all be so busy and manage to go on 4 vacations totaling 26 days, play 29 rounds of golf, spend countless hours posing for magazine covers and host cocktail parties a few times a week.

Now, for the second part of that quote:

"I think we lost some of that sense of speaking directly to the American people about what their core values are and why we have to make sure those institutions are matching up with those values"

You see, he didn't get a chance to explain to us during his 42 news conferences, 158 interviews or his 411 speeches and remarks, including 52 addresses or statements on health-care reform efforts alone.

If only we did this faster!

But Obama maintained he was right to pursue a health-care fix. He claimed it wasn't a "personal hobby horse," and regretted only that it didn't go "faster."

"There is no doubt that that is something that we had to do," he said.

Brilliant. Ladies and Gentlemen, I bring you proof you can't fix stupid. The voters rejected this monstrosity of a healthcare bill precisely BECAUSE it was rushed through! They were trying to force this down the throats of the American public BEFORE anyone really had a chance to understand what was in this bill! Well, that and the weekend midnight votes, strong-arm tactics of his buddies in congress and that was rife with bribes and backroom dealing.

You gotta believe me!

Things are better today than they were a year ago only if you work for the government, belong to al-Qaeda, happen to be a union boss or have the Secret Service protecting you.

There's more in the interview about it was his busiest year (of course, he never had a real job before) and he uses the tired "blame the guy before me" excuse as well.

All in all, he wants us to believe he learned a lot from the loss in Massachusetts. Unfortunately, it looks like he really hasn't.

I am convinced now. We are all going to die with these idiots in charge. First Big Sister claimed "the system worked" when the Panty-Bomber nearly blew up 300 people on Christmas. Although she backtracked the next day, she still did not instill any confidence with the American public. But, you have to give her credit, she was at least working and available to the media. Her boss was working on his golf game and enjoying the beach in Hawaii while cohorts Leon Panetta (CIA Director) and Mike Leiter (National Counterterrorism Director) couldn't be bothered to interrupt their Christmas vacations either. Panetta was enjoying Monterrey, California and Leiter hitting the slopes!

Now, this:

Question: What was the most shocking, stunning thing that you found out of the review?

Big Sister: I think, following up on that, not just the determination of al Qaeda and al Qaeda Arabian Peninsula, but the tactic of using an individual to foment an attack, as opposed to a large conspiracy or a multi-person conspiracy such as we saw in 9/11, that is something that affects intelligence. It really emphasizes now the renewed importance on how different intelligence is integrated and analyzed, and threat streams are followed through. And, again, it will impact how we continue to review the need to improve airport security around the world.

Shocked that they are determined? Wow, just wow. I know there was a lot of criticism of this administration not taking the threat of Radical Islam seriously, but this all but confirms all of it was right on the mark.

My favorite part of her response, that she's also shocked that they would use "tactic of using an individual to foment an attack, as opposed to a large conspiracy or a multi-person conspiracy such as we saw in 9/11". Seriously? She never heard of the shoe bomber, Richard Reid? I am a total loss. I have always considered this administration the worst ever, totally inept and full of themselves, but it baffles the mind of any sane, rational human being that this knucklehead is in charge of our security.

Instead of focusing on real threats to American lives when she was confirmed for this job, she hit the ground running on the imagined threat of some white supremacist group who may have a problem with a half-black president. Oh yes, and renaming "terrorism" a "man-caused disaster". It is misguided focus that has become the hallmark of this administration. Instead of concerning themselves with terrorist groups that want to murder as many Americans as possible, they were "focused like a laser" on socialized healthcare, cap and trade, the olympics, golf, basketball, vacations and dinner parties.

We're all going to die with these maroons in charge. We'll be lucky to make it to 2012.

I am beginning to change my opinion of the President. I no longer think he's a completely inept, ill-equipped neophyte that has no idea what he's doing and am beginning to think that this man is dangerous to this country. I could go on about bankrupting the country, supporting dictators, or eliminating American freedoms by mandating government run health care, but I will address the most important threat to this nation. Terrorism, or the War on Terror has all but been ignored or denied by this administration and hundreds of Americans almost got killed due to this apathy on Christmas.

al-Qaeda is a highly sophisticated terrorist organization that has very dangerous, highly-trained lunatics hell bent on our destruction. The organization has members in dozens of countries and is constantly recruiting new members in all sorts of ways, from prayer groups to facebook. They have terrorist camps throughout the Middle East and Africa. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was one of their recruits. He left his home for an al-Qaeda training camp in Yemen to commit jihad against the United States. He, according to the Yemen government, is one of hundreds trained and committed to terrorist attacks on the United States.

Now, our idiot (or dangerous?) President decides to downplay any connection to a significant radical religious movement that has killed thousands of Americans in the past and is dedicated to killing us all by calling him an "isolated extremist". Are you F&#king Kidding Me?

It is exactly this naive (or negligent?) attitude that allows Muslim terrorists take advantage of our laws and political correctness and kill us. Does The Chosen One care and is just incompetent? Or, is he deliberately enabling them? These days, I am really beginning to wonder.

So, a terrorist boards a plane after his father reports him to the US embassy, he is added to a terror watchlist, buys a one way ticket with cash, does not have any luggage and comes close to blowing up the plane with explosives smuggled in his underwear, yet, SOMEHOW, "the system worked"?!?!?!?!?!

Days later, while her boss was still on vacation and hadn't gotten around to commenting on the terror attack, she backtracks and says she was taken out of context. Not sure how you take this out of context:

"What we are focused on is making sure that the air environment remains safe, that people are confident when they travel. And one thing I’d like to point out is that the system worked. Everybody played an important role here. The passengers and crew of the flight took appropriate action."

Somehow, Big Sister changes roles to become Big Spinster explains that those darn partisans took this out of context and that she was really talking about the reaction after everyone knew that there was an attempted terror attack.

Finally, she knows who is to blame for this....BUSH! These rules have been in place since 2006! Hotair's Ed Morrissey sums it up perfectly:

"The rules on the lists have been in place since 2006. The Obama administration has been in office since January. If the rules on transferring people from watch lists to no-fly lists are a problem, shouldn’t that have been a higher priority than, say, revamping the entire American health-care system or pushing cap-and-trade bills? It seems like a bigger priority than flying to Copenhagen twice and coming home empty-handed both times, once on climate change and once on the Olympics. Of course, Barack Obama doesn’t have to worry about flying with radical jihadis from Nigeria when he travels abroad."

I am guessing he wasn't more carefully watched because on Janet's Planet, A) he isn't a terrorist, but someone trying to cause a "man-caused disaster" and B) he wasn't part of some white supremacist group or returning veteran who may have a problem with a half-black president.

Anyone who knows me knows I am a NY Post junkie. I ready cover-to-cover daily. For every Ashley Dupree stunt that damages the paper's credibility, there is a new writer that I am introduced to. So far, I am really liking the Michael Goodwin column. Yesterday's had probably one of the best summaries written on this train wreck of an administration:

Voters by a large margin have said for months they don't want the health-care overhaul he's pushing, so he pushes harder. They want less spending and debt, so he doubles down on pork, bailouts, handouts and taxes.

They thought he would deliver bipartisanship, and he gives his hard-left allies the keys to the kingdom.

They worry about terrorism, so he wants to close Gitmo and move the worst of the worst to the homeland. With Ground Zero still a mess, he gives the 9/11 plotters civilian trials in New York.

His approval ratings are speeding downhill and some 60 percent say the country is on the wrong track. He responds by giving himself a "good solid B-plus" for his first year.

And he says Wall Street bankers "don't get it."

I mentioned a couple days ago that one of my reasons for giving up the blog for most of the summer was that the news was too infuriating. Another reason was this guy gives you too much material! I know, I know, this should be a gold mine for any critic, but he screws up so much that I cannot possibly keep up with it all! One day, if I get to do this for a living, then I will bemoan the fact that The Chosen One isn't around anymore, but until that day comes, I will try to keep it a weekly feature. A quick summary every week of what this guy is doing to screw this country.

This week in review:

- The Chosen One abandons the Missile Defense Shield infuriating the few allies we have that actually back us up. Poland newspaper proclaims: "Betrayal! The U.S. sold us to Russia and stabbed us in the back.". Good job! What did we get from Russia for abandoning this program? Oh, right....nothing.

- The New Messiah announces how he will keep his health care for all, except illegal immigrants promise. Legalize all who are here illegally! Wow, a rare glimpse of honesty from the administration! I mean, we all knew this was the hidden agenda all along, I am just amazed he admitted it!

- ACORN - I cannot leave this out. Yes, I know, the Community Organizer in Chief isn't responsible for the reprehensible actions of his favorite organization. However, this is where our guy earned the bulk of his "experience" and despite its non-partisan tax-funded existence, committed rampant election fraud to get their favorite son in office. Robert Gibbs tried to distance the White House from ACORN this week, but "Barack Obama can no more disown ACORN than he could disown his own shadow. He IS ACORN. And ACORN is him." This scandal has finally gotten to the point where the president's acolytes in the press cannot whitewash it any longer.

- The Fresh Prince's claims that Cap and Trade legislation would only cost $175 per household per year was refuted by his own Treasury Department's estimate of nearly 10 times that!

This past Wednesday was the debut of the NY Post's newest columnist, Michael Goodwin. This is the first time I have read anything by him, but he did give me a glimmer of hope (or maybe false hope) that Mike Bloomberg can be defeated this election.

He bases it on 3 different factors that I wholeheartedly agree with him on. Some of which made me move out of Manhattan years ago.

The first one, which was one of his major reasons for enforcing term limits on The Greatest Mayor Ever, Rudy Giuliani, was Mayor Mike's business acumen. His campaign reasoned the financial hole created by 9/11 proved the need for such a savvy businessman to save the city. However, he did nothing extraordinary. Any liberal politician would have taken the same, easy way out that he did. As Goodwin explains:

Much of the pain is driven by City Hall, with spending under Bloomberg about 25 percent above inflation. Real-estate taxes are climbing even as market values fall, and virtually every levy and fee has gone up sharply since 2002, and still it’s not enough to satisfy the government beast. The businessman mayor, who promised to guard the buck, has been too quick to spend it.

The second reason is one that give me the headaches that plague me when I am beyond furious and helpless to prevent the reason. This arrogant "I know what's better for you than you do" attitude was on full display in his shameless display of self-aggrandization in overturning term limits. This was voted on TWICE by the citizens of New York. The fact that it came up a second time was a feckless attempt by those in power to overturn the will of their constituents. Yet, the man who would not have been elected in the first place without term limits managed to keep them for himself. And, don't you dare question that!

The second factor in Thompson’s favor is Bloomberg’s cheesy maneuver to eliminate term limits. He was for them until they hit home, so POOF, he made them vanish. Doing the dirty deed with a scandal-scarred City Council further tarnished the mayor’s reputation.

Lastly, the one thing the Mayor touts as his most significant accomplishment actually falls short of a real, quantifiable success. The Education Mayor, the one who the schools would be accountable to has a pretty questionable record. The biggest joke was the Department of Education's progress report that gave A's to 85% of NYC's schools!!! Are you kidding me??? What standard is that based on? That they are still standing? They have running water and electricity? 85%??? Only in Mayor Mike's world, I tell ya!

Compelling evidence shows many of the gains Bloomberg touts are suspect because tests and standards were dumbed down. He has doubled education spending to $22 billion a year, but with 74 percent of city grads who enroll at City University community colleges still needing remediation, the smell of a scam is in the air.

All that and his Nanny Statism on smoking, trans fats and proposed soda taxes are the icing on the cake for me with this guy. Obviously, the man has such a high self-regard that he cannot even allow FREE AMERICANS to make their own decisions for their own lives! No, his reasoning to continue his rule is he-is-smarter-than-you-peasant-and-knows-what's-best-for-you, so don't you get in the way of his ego-feeding!

American Heroes

Part of the reason for my summer hiatus from this blog was the fact that I've become so disillusioned with the state of affairs in this country. Every day, I would read about something this administration, congress and their acolytes in the press was jamming down our throats and it would literally give me headaches because it made me so angry.

I mean, who in their right mind thinks it is a good idea to:

- Give terrorists the same rights as criminals in the United States? They are not even entitled to Geneva Convention Rights, but we're now giving them Miranda Rights?

- Turn a 1 trillion dollar deficit into a projected 12 trillion dollar deficit to "save jobs"?

- Have the federal government take control over entire industries?

- Take the side of dictators over populations who demand free and fair elections in Iran, then Honduras?

I could go on, but the headache is coming. Crazy stuff, huh? It's the American version of Bizarro World, right is wrong, wrong is right, etc. The Orwellian Age is upon us.

So, I return because I have had a little bit of faith restored by two young Americans who have put themselves at risk in order to expose one of the most corrupt organizations we have in this county. ACORN, the federally funded former employer of The Chosen One, rigger of elections, and tax fraud enablers got nailed by two twenty-somethings that care enough about this country to do something about it!

James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles are true American heroes! For those of you who don't know what these young patriots have done for this country, here's a quick synopsis:

Posing as a pimp and hooker, O'Keefe and Giles went into three (that we know of so far) different ACORN offices in Maryland, Washington DC and Brooklyn (click the links to see the videos) seeking advice how obtain mortgages to set up a brothel and import a dozen underage El Salvadorean girls to work there. Not only did the ACORN employees not call the cops, or warn of the dangers of prostitution, they gave advice on how to launder their earnings, how to obtain the mortgages and commit welfare fraud! That's right, a federally funded "community activist" organization is giving advice how to skirt taxes, obtain a house and import child sex slaves!!!

This is the same organization that employed our current president and was promised by The Chosen One would help shape his agenda once he was elected! See below:

I thought it was laughable the fifth and sixth time The Most Inept Administration Ever nominated tax cheats for cabinet positions, now I am beginning to think it is insulting to the American people that he thinks he can get away with this. This time it is Capricia Penavic Marshall, the Fresh Prince's choice as chief of protocol for the State Department.

As Ed Morrissey says:

No one doubts that the president who gave Region 1 DVDs to the British Prime Minister as an official gift and an iPod to the Queen with his own speeches preloaded needs a Chief of Protocol — and needs one very badly. However, can this administration pick someone — anyone — who has paid their taxes properly?

What separates this one from the others is her excuse. 2005 got put in the wrong folder and 2006 got lost in the mail! Sheesh! A fifth-grader could come up with better excuses. But, then again, the Obamabots take the American public for a bunch of idiots, so this should fly!

All cabinet positions go through a vetting process. Why are they consistently not asking "did you file and pay your taxes?" to these people? Is it because they think that only the little people pay taxes? Liberals exempt from taxation? Or, is it complete incompetence?

Whatever the reason, it is an embarrassment and insulting.

Mayor Megalomaniac Loses Reason for Third Term, His Temper

The only reason Mike Bloomberg became Mayor of NYC in the first place was because of term limits on his predecessor. After 9/11, Rudy Giuliani would have been a landslide shoo-in for a third term as mayor. However, the law was the law and he could not run again. The people had spoken twice in voter referendums for term limits in New York City. There was even a trial balloon floated that maybe Giuliani should stick around for an extra few months to continue his leadership after the terrorist attacks. It was shot down very quickly, the public would not stand for breaking the terms limit law it was said at the time.

Today, we have a financial crisis at hand. The economy is a disaster everywhere. New York, especially, is in financial shambles. It was this current crisis that Mike Bloomberg uses as a reason why we need him back for a third term. Apparently, a financial crisis is more devastating to New York than the worst attack against Americans on US Soil. Thank goodness we have a billionaire in office then! He knows about money! He'll fix things! So, Mayor Megalomaniac turned to his buddies on the City Council to overturn the will of the people and rescind the term limits law so he can continue to feed his ego and stay on as mayor. Not a bad deal, huh?

Picture it going down like this:

Mayor: "Hey, you guys get to stay in power if I do and I'll make sure to throw tons of money into your campaign coffers!"

Council Speaker: "Sounds like a win-win! We all win! We want to stay in power too!"

Voting Public: "Hey, wait a minute...there's a law against that, you know. We voted for it twice!"

Mayor and Council Speaker: "SHUT UP!"

Mayor: "You people don't know what's best for you. Remember, you used to smoke in bars and eat transfats? I mean, if I didn't save you from yourselves, you'd all be dead now! I know this because my health enforcer...er, commissioner said that 8 million NYC residents die of second hand smoke every week! Silly subjects."

Council Speaker: "All those in favor of keeping their cushy jobs say 'Aye'."

Council Members: "AYE!!!!!!"

So, now the spoiled billionaire gets his way and is running for a third term, you know, to help us out of this financial morass we find ourselves in. No mention of the fact that he had 8 years to propose reforms to prevent, or lessen, the impact of this crisis. No, none of that. He's here to save us!

This clip below is from a news conference where the Mayor tries to convince the public that things may not be as bad as it seems and we're making progress towards a recovery. That leads to a reporter to dare ask him perhaps maybe the reason for running for a third term is not warranted after all! The reporter soon learns that it is not prudent to question his ruler's reasoning and gets called a "disgrace" for his efforts. Disgusting.

Sorry, Mayor Mike, you are the disgrace here!

"There is little question that society benefits immensely when opportunities are offered to all, not simply to some," Bruce Stewart, head of Sidwell Friends School, said yesterday during a Senate committee hearing on the decision by Obama and Democrats in Congress to kill the voucher program that has helped 1,700 DC students get into private schools.

This puts Stewart and others testifying yesterday at stark odds with the father of Sidwell Friends' two most famous students, Sasha and Malia Obama.

Their father decided earlier this month to allow students enrolled in the Opportunity Scholarship Program to continue with their private schooling, but to kill the program for others.

Stewart said he has not discussed the matter with Obama and said his school strives to avoid partisan politics.

Asked generally what he thinks of those who would send their children to a private school but deny vouchers for those less fortunate, Stewart said, "It's selfish. So, it's all determined by the accident of birth."

It is selfish. It is also hypocritical, elitist, sanctimonius and morally corrupt. So much more so for someone who claims to champion education as well as claim to be a voice for the poor.

So, the government decides to spend enormous, unaffordable amounts on socialized health care first, then tries to come up with ways to pay for it after. This week's is either laughable or vomit inducing. It is almost something you'd read in the Onion as pure satire. But, sadly, it is not. The author knows no shame. I would like to think Michelle herself, would find this embarrassing, but we've seen just how much the first family enjoys their press.

Missing the Point on the WTC

Sunday's New York Post reported on the name change of the Freedom Tower to One World Trade Center.

While, I have to think their heart was in the right place, the point should not be that the Freedom Tower was renamed. It shouldn't even have been designed in the first place!

Anything other than rebuilding the Twin Towers will be nothing but a monument to al-Qaeda's victory over the will of the American people. Don't take my word for it, take Osama bin-Laden's:

"Those awesome symbolic towers that speak of liberty, human rights, and humanity have been destroyed."

Now doesn't that tell you something? Why can't our own leaders get that point?

The Chicago Tribune reports on how well Freddie Mac board member Rahm Emmanuel made out while plunging America into today's economic crisis.

During his tenure as a board member:

Freddie Mac hatched an illegal accounting scam that fudged numbers in order to pay its high ranking employees million dollar bonuses. Think Enron, only on a much higher level and ignored by the left-wing mainstream media.

"Many of those same risky investment practices tied to the accounting scandal eventually brought the firm to the brink of insolvency and led to its seizure last year by the Bush administration, which pledged to inject up to $100 billion in new capital to keep the firm afloat. The Obama administration has doubled that commitment."

"(T)he company hatched a plan to enhance its political muscle. That scheme, also reviewed by the board, led to a record $3.8 million fine from the Federal Election Commission for illegally using corporate resources to host fundraisers for politicians. Emanuel was the beneficiary of one of those parties after he left the board and ran in 2002 for a seat in Congress from the North Side of Chicago." Basically, he was a board member approving illegal campaign contributions to himself.

Must be nice being a liberal insider. You get a sweet paying job when you're in between positions of power on the American Taxpayer, then destroy the company to make millions in bonuses for you and your friends, the government bails out the company and you become White House Chief of Staff. Sweet.

This would be the worst day of my life!

There is not a more depressing show on TV than A&E's Intervention. Each week, they bring you a trainwreck story of a junkie/alcoholic/problem gambler/cutter. Usually, the subject was an honor student/terrific athlete/talented musician growing up and somewhere along the way, well, lost his or her way.

One common thing that I've observed is that there is always an enabler among the troubled one's loved ones. The enabler gives him or her money or let's the partyer do drugs in the house or protects junkie from any consequences that might upset the poor soul. The enabler in his or her heart really wants the problem child to get better, but cannot bring him or herself to say "no more".

Finally, they get up the courage to try and put an end to the destructive behavior and save the lost soul. At this point, there's the big surprise where everyone is there to plead with the subject to go to rehab along with Interventionist who facilitates the meeting. A&E has 3 different interventionists that work on this show, I call them Captain Buzzkill, Lady Killjoy and Prince Party Pooper.

For some reason I cannot get this analogy out of my head after witnessing the entire AIG bonus fiasco.

AIG (and other bailout companies) was the golden child. Somewhere along the way, maybe it was the pressure of living up to parental expectations (Democrats Agenda to lend money to people who cannot afford to pay it back), cracks under pressure and is now the lost soul mired in misery, broke and in need of help. Now the governmental enablers step in and hope that throwing money at the problem (hey, at least they are under my roof and supervision, therefore they cannot hurt themselves too much) will alleviate the problem. The end result down the road, the enabler is saddened and sometimes, even surprised that the problem child used some of that money to get high (or pay themselves bonuses)!

Well, we all know now that the liberal grandstanding was all a show to distract from the fact that they were the ones who OK'd the bonuses in the first place. Also, we all know they do not care for the companies like a loved one. They were caught and had to throw the evil corporation under the bus. But still, can you see the parallel I am drawing here? It's pretty damn depressing!

At this point, what do we do now? Is it time to call in Captain Buzzkill to DC?

No one with a brain would argue this point. Anyone who is an Obama supporter will choose to go on about George Bush rather than defend their guy now. I know how it is, it took me 6 years to finally stop defending George Bush, but 52 days??? It may be early, but the missteps this group of egomaniacal neophytes is unsurpassed in history.

Today, Day 52, his tech office gets raided for a bribery investigation and yet another Treasury nominee withdraws. Does this guy know anyone who is not crooked or a tax cheat? What else at Day 52....hmm....the market is down 25%, China senses weakness and illegally confronts an unarmed US surveillance ship, our new buddies in Iran demand an apology from the US before any talks can begin, 8,500 earmarks in the latest bill signed by Mr. Earmark-Reform-Campaign-Promise-Guy and a half-staffed Treasury Department that the press claims he's focused like a laser on.

Amir Taheri, in my opinion, is the most prominent expert on Iran in journalism. Every time I read something from him, I learn something new on Middle East politics, social norms and culture. In Sunday's New York Post, he reviews Khomeini's Ghost: The Iranian Revolution and the Rise of Militant Islam by Con Coughlin.

Taheri, and anyone who's ever read his articles, knows all to well that the new administration is no match for what the mullah's have been planning for the past 30 years. He even goes on to say that they "would benefit from Coughlin's account of Khomeinist involvement in the insurgencies in both Iraq and Afghanistan." In particular, as Coughlin writes, "Tehran took the view that its own strategy of fueling the insurgency [in Iraq] by all means at its disposal was working. The longer the United States and its allies were bogged down in Iraq, the less likely they were to act over Iran's nuclear program." He adds: "By the spring of 2007 senior NATO commanders found compelling evidence that the Revolutionary Guard had set aside their traditional antipathy towards the Taliban and were supplying them with roadside bombs and rockets to attack NATO positions, particularly British forces deployed in southern Afghanistan."

Coughlin's main argument throughout is that these people have absolutely no intention and sitting down and playing nice with us. They do not regard The New Messiah as their messiah. They've been at war with us for 30 years because "Iran has maintained its uncompromising devotion to its unique expression of revolutionary Islam, no matter how much hostility from the outside world. And so long as the heirs to Khomeini's revolution maintained their iron grip on power, the Islamic republic of Iran would continue to uphold the banner of radical Islam and proclaim its defiance of the rest of the world."

As Coughlin shows, and Taheri agrees, "the real question is not whether or not to go to war against Iran but how to end the war that Iran has been waging against the US for three decades."

Now I am loathe to call someone older than me naive, especially the POTUS. But, can anyone else come up with a better adjective on this negotiate-until-all-else-fails-then-negotiate-more policy Dear Leader and his Secretary of State insist on pursuing?

If I can get this point from a book review, why can't the foreign policy experts in the new administration get it?

A Better Plan for Detroit

On top of the $17.4 Billion given to GM and Chrysler because they were "too big to fail", we now learn that they both need MORE money to stay afloat! Surprise!

If their requests are granted, the total cost would be $39 Billion! That's $39,000,000,000! Even with that staggering amount of money, they both would still have to lay off tens of thousands of employees.

Can we now stop pretending that there's any chance whatsoever these companies will one day become sustaining, or even profitable, companies? How much money has to be thrown in a black hole after previous infusions don't work? Where does this insanity end?

With this in mind, I have come up with a better plan for Detroit. There are 2 versions of it:

1. The $17.4 Billion Plan. The same cost as what has been wasted already. This is written of as a loss and whatever money remains will be used to build a fence around the city limits of Detroit and become the first country in history to "de-annex" territory.

2. The $39 Billion Plan. Carve the bedrock along the city limits of Detroit and haul it to sink into Lake St. Clair or Lake Erie.

Duck Tape - Stat!

Sometimes, things in life beyond our own control are so senseless and infuriating that, as friend of mine, Pete Nastro, says "I need wrap my head in duct tape to keep it from blowing up!".

Unveiled today, part of this godawful Government-Stimulus-Package-for-Liberal-Interest-Groups is the $75,000,000,000 plan to "save" 7-9 million mortgages facing foreclosure. I'll even let go of the fact that these were either the most irresponsible or the speculative people who were at the core of this financial collapse. The reason why, our own government encouraged the irresponsible (the ones who borrowed what they couldn't afford) to do so. The speculators who were flipping houses, they are another story.

Its the part of expanding Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that had me looking for the duct tape. If all of the money junkies were addicted to borrowing money they could not possibly afford to pay back when rates went up, its these 2 entities that were dealing the mortgage crack!

You see, ground zero of this entire mess was a politically correct agenda to lend money to poor people so they can own a home instead of renting their whole life. On the surface, this is a noble thing to do. Unfortunately, the way the government went about it could only end in catastrophe.

Forcing banks to end money to people with bad credit because they are a specific race is onerous overreaching of government power.

Encouraging banks and brokerage firms to sell securities on these shaky loans on the implication they are backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and by extension, the federal government is dishonest. Only when Fannie and Freddie were going to fail, did the government actually have to back the investments and end up owning most of the companies.

One needs to look no further back than 5 years ago to see the initial warning signs that not all was right in Government Sponsored Entity Land. The Bush Administration attempted to enforce stricter regulation on the mortgage giants, but were opposed by their defenders in congress. More specifically, Barney Frank and the 2 biggest beneficiaries in congress, mortgage cheat Chris Dodd and the new Fresh Prince of the White House. These are probably the 3 most responsible people for today's economic crisis. Even after Fannie Mae's accounting scandal that made Enron's look like a cash register mistake (yes, I just cited my own blog from 4 years ago!), it still had its staunch defenders in congress making their best efforts to block any oversight.

Also, this article from the WSJ about Barney Frank's lies throughout the years about the stability of Fannie Mae can give you an idea what was going on. The man belongs in jail, not congress!

Anyway, back to the duck tape part, despite the disastrous consequences of Government Sponsored Entity malfeasance and corruption on the US economy, part of the $75,000,000,000 bail-out-the-irresponsible mortgage plan is to EXPAND the size and power of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac!

So, while millions of Americans are out of work and responsible mortgage holders are struggling; Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, The New Messiah and millions of others who didn't pay their bills are sitting pretty right now! This is not the America I though I knew all my life folks, this is Bizarro World!

A Senate committee today abruptly canceled a session to consider President Obama's nomination of Rep. Hilda Solis to be labor secretary in the wake of a report saying that her husband yesterday paid about $6,400 to settle tax liens against his business -- including liens that had been outstanding for as long as 16 years.

What is it with liberals and taxes? They're always ready to tax hard-working Americans to death, but do just about anything to avoid paying them themselves!

I am beginning to think we'll be able to dig our way out of this financial crisis with back taxes paid by Obama nominees if he keeps up this pace!

In Obama's world, that makes you Cabinet worthy...how about we put you in charge of the IRS!?!? You can't make this up!

* His nomination for Secretary of Commerce had to bail out because he's under investigation of a pay-for-influence scandal!!!

* Appointed a Secretary of State whose family's primary income seems to have come from Saudi Arabian princes and businessmen. There is also MILLIONS of dollars from other friendly places like China, Russia, Syria, Oman, Dubai and Kuwait.

Last night, the New York Rangers raised Adam Graves' number 9 to the rafters of Madison Square Garden. Any Ranger fan will tell you he deserved this honor for his achievements on the ice, however, those same fans will tell you there are plenty more reasons why this man should be honored.

Adam Graves was one of the most selfless professional athletes to ever play any sport. His charitable contributions and time spent with those less fortunate should be an example to all who can make a difference.

Every single article about last night had a significant piece about his contributions to others, visits to hospitals cheering up kids, running the Toys for Tots program for the Rangers or spending hours befriending people a lot less fortunate than you or me.

I guess Iranian President Ahmadinejad didn't get the memo that everything is gonna change.

Throughout the campaign, one of Obama's main platforms was to talk to Iran without preconditions. Ok, this was his original platform until his advisers told him to stop saying that...Americans really will think you're naive! After the negative reaction in the polls to this policy, he then backtracked to a set of preconditions not unlike the current ones Bush had set. Either way, liberals and the media hailed this as a change for a new direction. "Why not talk to them? Maybe we can work this out!" was the mantra from our great thinkers on the left.

Fast forward to a week into the new era of Hope and Change. Our new Dear Leader goes on al-Arabiya for his first television interview. Yes, that's right, he felt the need to talk to the Muslim world before addressing his own country. Anyway, in this interview he pleads for a return to the "partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago".

Ok, let's talk about 30 years ago. 1979, hmmm...what happened then....ummm....let...me...think....oh, oh, I know...Iranians invaded the US Embassy and took 53 American hostages! What a golden age indeed. I remember those good times! The ensuing energy crisis, the failed hostage rescue, the attack on the US embassy in Pakistan, that was one heck of a partnership!

Not to drag this out, but here's a few other things that happened during Obama's era of American/Muslim partnership(from Infoplease.com):

1982–1991 - Lebanon: Thirty US and other Western hostages kidnapped in Lebanon by Hezbollah. Some were killed, some died in captivity, and some were eventually released. Terry Anderson was held for 2,454 days.

1983 - April 18, Beirut, Lebanon: U.S. embassy destroyed in suicide car-bomb attack; 63 dead, including 17 Americans. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility.

Oct. 23, Beirut, Lebanon: Shiite suicide bombers exploded truck near U.S. military barracks at Beirut airport, killing 241 marines. Minutes later a second bomb killed 58 French paratroopers in their barracks in West Beirut.

Dec. 12, Kuwait City, Kuwait: Shiite truck bombers attacked the U.S. embassy and other targets, killing 5 and injuring 80.

1984 - Sept. 20, east Beirut, Lebanon: truck bomb exploded outside the U.S. embassy annex, killing 24, including 2 U.S. military.

Dec. 3, Beirut, Lebanon: Kuwait Airways Flight 221, from Kuwait to Pakistan, hijacked and diverted to Tehran. 2 Americans killed.

1985 - April 12, Madrid, Spain: Bombing at restaurant frequented by U.S. soldiers, killed 18 Spaniards and injured 82.

June 14, Beirut, Lebanon: TWA Flight 847 en route from Athens to Rome hijacked to Beirut by Hezbollah terrorists and held for 17 days. A U.S. Navy diver executed.

Oct. 7, Mediterranean Sea: gunmen attack Italian cruise ship, Achille Lauro. One U.S. tourist killed. Hijacking linked to Libya.

Dec. 18, Rome, Italy, and Vienna, Austria: airports in Rome and Vienna were bombed, killing 20 people, 5 of whom were Americans. Bombing linked to Libya.

1986 - April 2, Athens, Greece:A bomb exploded aboard TWA flight 840 en route from Rome to Athens, killing 4 Americans and injuring 9.

April 5, West Berlin, Germany: Libyans bombed a disco frequented by U.S. servicemen, killing 2 and injuring hundreds.

1988 - Dec. 21, Lockerbie, Scotland: N.Y.-bound Pan-Am Boeing 747 exploded in flight from a terrorist bomb and crashed into Scottish village, killing all 259 aboard and 11 on the ground. Passengers included 35 Syracuse University students and many U.S. military personnel. Libya formally admitted responsibility 15 years later (Aug. 2003) and offered $2.7 billion compensation to victims' families.

Either Obama has an awful grasp of history or he chose to ignore it when he went to the Muslim world hat in hand. Either way, he's sticking to the plan of "repairing America's relations with the Muslim world." A plan heralded throughout the campaign by his media acolytes.

Iran's response?

"You were standing against the Iranian people in the past 60 years," Mr Ahmadinejad said during an address in the western region of Khermenshah that was broadcast by state television.

"Those who speak of change must apologise to the Iranian people and try to repair their past bad acts and the crimes they committed against Iran."

As to the troops, he said he expected two kinds of "deep and fundamental" change.

"Meet people, talk to them with respect and put an end to the expansionist policies. If you talk about change it must put an end to the US military presence in the world, withdraw your troops and take them back inside your borders."

Mr Ahmadinejad said the advocates of change must "stop supporting the Zionists, outlaws and criminals".

He called on the United States to "stop interfering in other people's affairs".

Well, huh, that didn't go according to plan now, did it? Ok, what was Plan B again?

In fact, according to U.S. authorities: the detainees are supplied with Islamic religious items including a Koran, prayer mat, and cap; loudspeakers in the camps broadcast the Muslims' call to prayer five times each day; all prisoners' meals are certified halal (adhering to Islamic law) by Guantanamo's Muslim chaplain; religious services are held for the prisoners; every cell has a stenciled arrow pointing toward Mecca, so that prisoners may face the correct direction while saying their prayers; Guantanamo's library is well stocked with Islamic literature; many of the detainees' complaints are known to have been either exaggerated or fabricated; and between April 2002 and March 2003, the detainees had by no means suffered any effects of alleged malnutrition, but in fact had gained an average of 13 pounds apiece. All of these assertions have been verified by independent observers.

Doesn't sound like they have it too bad if you ask me. But, leftist talking points are rarely based in truth. They are more concerned with gaining power than the well being of our nation.

This is one of the most ridiculous articles I've read in some time. This poor soul, Joby Warrick, is twisting like a pretzel to fit this piece into his agenda that Bush is bad, Obama is good. Sheesh.

Apparently, al-Qaeda was formed because Bush was elected. It grew as an organization all because Muslims don't like Bush.

Look at this:

Messiah Wants More of the Same for Energy Policy

If there was a bright spot from the energy crisis of last summer, it was the debate of how we use energy, where it comes from and possible solutions to find clean, cost-efficient ways to power our country. Or even, just to find ways to lower our energy costs.

So what if it took gasoline to rise above $4 to get the country thinking about alternative sources of energy and change the status quo? This was a topic that has been put off for decades as our politicians continued to kick the can down the road. Let-the-next-guy-deal-with-it has been the way of doing business in Washington for a long time now.

Over the past several decades, we have sent trillions of dollars overseas to oil producing nations. Countless billions of dollars have gone to such countries like Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. Places where our money keeps despots in power. Places where the absurdly affluent ruling class encourage their impoverished population to hate us and destroy us through religious schools and state run propaganda. The uneducated masses of these countries have heard over and over that the reason why they live in squalor is not because their leaders are taking all the money that comes into the country to themselves, but the Great Satan, the United States is keeping them in poverty.

Wouldn't common sense dictate, that if we had the chance to cut off funding to people who hate us, it would be a brilliant move to make? Cut off the money, then they have to fend for themselves. Sounds like a good idea to me.

Now, here we have this chance to use our own resources. Public opinion in the United States is all for drilling our own resources of oil. The powerful environmentalist lobby is on the losing side. We have oil offshore, in the midwest in shale and in ANWR. Wouldn't it make sense to use our own resources, create American jobs and keep our money away from funding anti-American terrorists? You, and I would think so. But, our new president and many members of congress don't.

I was saddened to see that Reuters is reporting that Obama may issue an order to stop offshore drilling expansion put in place by the Bush Administration. It may even stop developing oil shale fields.

Talk about an opportunity blown.

Now, my father told me I wasn't even born then and how would I know what I am talking about. But, I am sorry, I have to disagree on my interpretation on what happened with the Vietnam war.

I will try and keep this short, but sometimes I can't keep from venting.

My interpretation of the Vietnam war is that we were kicking ass and decimating the Viet Cong forces left and right. Yes, we lost a lot of brave courageous young Americans and I thank the Good Lord that people braver than I put their lives on the line so we can continue to live in freedom. But, I know our boys won every single battle there was in that war and the only reason why we lost is because the most narcissistic, selfish generation this nation has ever known turned against the country and their leader in propaganda was Walter Cronkite.

I do know that our brave United States armed forces wrecked the North Vietnamese in the Tet Offensive. I also know that the American people were lied to by "the most trusted man in America". Back then people had limited access to news and current events. Network news was one of the few avenues people could go to learn about what is going on in the world. This person took that trust the American people had in him and lied to them! LIED! There is nothing more detestable than someone to have a position of trust and abuse it for their own agenda. But that is what this man and an entire slew of left-wing journalists had done and continue to do so to this very day!

These hell bent anti-Americans did everything they could possibly do to make this country lose a war and have 50,000 plus Americans die in vain. I hope they are proud of themselves. I hope Walter Cronkite can go home and sleep at night with a smile on his face even though he ruined countless lives just by distorting and lying about what was really going on in a war that he was determined to undermine. I do know that he inspired an entire new generation of anti-Americans aspire to work in our newsrooms and network television and distort the war we are in now in the hope that we leave in defeat again!

OK, I promised I will try and keep this short. I did just take a deep breath. But, this a**hole is still at it. He's 90 freaking years old and he is still trying to make us lose another war.

Fake But Accurate

When Dan Rather was caught knowingly reporting that forged documents proved George W. Bush dodged his military service, he claimed that the docs might be fake, but the story is accurate. In that context, I thought it was one of the dumbest things I ever heard. But now, I couldn't come up with a better description of the ABC mini-series about the run-up to 9/11.

Ok, everyone admits that the scene when Sandy (the 9/11 documents) Berg(l)er denied authorization to CIA operatives and Afghan fighters coming close to capturing Osama bin Laden in the 1990s didn't happen. However, the man cannot deny the fact that Osama bin Laden was indeed offered up to the Clinton Administration and they didn't take action. That is INDISPUTABLE!

This is a mini-series trying to explain 8 years of ignoring al-Qaeda into 5 hours of television. It had to make certain points obvious. It was, indeed, Fake but Accurate.

There's been so much written on this (and I read so much of it), that I cannot give this post any justice to write down all I feel about it. So, I am going to give a few thoughts on it and going to link to the pros who are all over this controversy.

- The hypocracy of the left knows no bounds. They were absolutely hollering when CBS pulled their sensationalized mini-series The Reagans. And CBS didn't even get a phone call from Ronnie himself!

- Imagine the uproar if George Bush tried what Bill Clinton did. The unhinged left would collectively blow a gasket!

- The Democratic National party is now behaving the same way as their (once) far-left lunatic fringe of extremists do.

- The party of free speech and dissent will do anything to squash it when free speech criticizes them or any dissent against their beliefs.

- All presidents starting from Jimmy Carter on are guilty of ignoring Islamic terrorism, but the conflagration of it happened on Bill Clinton's watch.

- As depicted in the mini-series, after the scene when Sandy Berger denies authorization to capture bin Laden, the next scene was Clinton wagging his finger, "I did not have sex with that woman, Monica Lewinsky." This too was accurate in my opinion. The man was totally distracted and consumed with his own self-preservation that a serious threat to our national security was ignored. This was despicable. The man, if he had any sense of decency, respect, class or responsibility to his nation, he would have resigned from office because he was no longer fit to serve!

Man, is this guy delusional or what? His abject hate of George Bush refuses to let him face any kind of reality. Again, grief can be a legitimate excuse, but now that the guy is running for office because of his newfound celebrity, he is no longer immune from criticism.

I am sure both Michael Berg and Cindy Sheehan are, or were, grief stricken from losing their sons, it is really hard to sympathize with either based on their actions.

Both have been blaming Bush for their sons' deaths, but let's get one thing straight here. Sheehan's son was in the military (one thing), but he voluntarily re-enlisted to go back to Iraq. He was not, in any way, forced by George Bush to walk the Iraq plank. Berg's son was not in the military. He was an entrepreneur who specialized in communications systems and thought there was money to be made in Iraq. So, again, he was not forced to go there. He went there entirely of his own free will to make money.

So, it is time for these two despicable human beings to stop using their dead kids' graves as a catapult to celebrity and a platform for their left-wing politics.

Peggy Noonan is one of my favorite opinion writers and I think she is on to something here. In today's Wall Street Journal, she writes how our beloved country really could use a third political party. I know, I know, (and she does too) we've been hearing this for most of our lives and yet it is still the Democrats and Republicans that hold office.

Her reasoning why so much of the public is so disenchanted with Washington is because the average American is consistently disenfranchised. She cites a few examples of how our politicians on both sides of the aisle completely ignore their constituents and eventually will enact some legislation that is a little bit for everybody and pleases nobody. It does not matter what they call themselves, Republicans or Democrats, they are both becoming more and more alike and, in the end, are more the Ruling Elitist party than anything else. In all, a brilliant article that struck a tone with me.

Therefore, I am announcing my candidacy for President of the United States on the Freedom Party ticket. As President, I will enact the following legislation in my first 100 days in office:

1. Build the new 21st century Great Wall. This wall will be just as imposing as the Great Wall of China. It will be so thick and tall, you will see ours from space too! The wall will be lined up for the entire length of the U.S.-Mexico border and the entire length of the U.S.-Canada border. No one enters this country unless we can identify you and what reason you have for entering our great nation.

2. Evict the United Nations. For far too long this institution of Evil Aristocracy has been allowed to infest our great nation on our dime. Enough is enough. Not another U.S. cent will subsidize Anti-American coalitions. If they want their little club, they can move to Brussels. But before anyone is allowed to leave, we will hold any representative of any nation that owes us money in Rikers until said debt is settled.

3. Immediately stop Government funding for: Global Warming studies, second-hand smoke studies and other dishonest nanny-state organizations, any non-profit with a political agenda, Israel, Egypt and Palestinians (Pakistan, you are on probation). More cuts to come.

4. Out of Iraq.....and into Iran. Just kidding. But, seriously, no more pussyfooting with sensitivities and "allies". For real this time, you are either on our side or you are with the terrorists. I will expect to have significant U.S. forces in northern Pakistan and cut off the entire region. Once the entire Pakistan/Afghanistan border is surrounded, we will announce to all people in the region, they will be allowed to leave before it is leveled. You can come through our checkpoints and if we can determine you are not a terrorist, you can leave. Anything or anybody who remains in the cordoned off area will be considered hostile and obliterated.

5. Drilling will commence immediately in Alaska and any other place we may have oil on American land. Also, we will determine suitable sites for future nuclear power plants throughout the country. We will begin the process that will no longer rely on other nations for our energy needs.

6. Any reporter who leaks confidential information that in any way hampers the country in a time of war will be immediately put on trial for treason.

7. No law shall be written by any Court. Law is solely written by a Legislature composed of elected individuals.

8. All government business and services will be conducted in English.

9. All federally funded education will be dedicated to learning. English, Math, History, Science, Health, Geography and Physical Education will be taught. Diversity, Tolerance and Alternative Lifestyles are learned through one's own life experience and are not valid subjects because nothing related to those topics can be taught as FACT.

10. Social Security will no longer exist in its current form. All Americans 40 and under will now be allowed to save a portion of what they would pay in and put in their private retirement accounts (I know, not an original idea, but a necessary one). All Americans under 20 will have no obligation to Social Security.

Today, it was announced that Fannie Mae has been fined up to $500 million for falsifying accounting records in order to "facilitate executive bonuses." That is, fake accounting to provide senior executives with bonuses in the tens of millions of dollars. No indictments or anything yet, but a fine, I guess, is a start.

As I wrote about a year ago, Fannie Mae's accounting misdeeds add up to a total of $11,000,000,000. That's 11 BILLION dollars!!! Compare that to Enron's comparatively paltry sum of $576,000,000., about 19 times less.

In terms of media coverage, you would think that Fannie Mae would be front page news! Perhaps a whistleblower would be named "Person of the Year" for their courage like the Enron whistleblowers! At least the news coverage should surpass Enron, right? Not with the fifth column press we have in this country. You see, Enron contributed to George Bush and was based in Texas. Fannie Mae, on the other hand, is a government sponsored company to provide lower-income families mortgages. A darling little cause of the left and therefore, no criminal activity is worthy of criticism.

Apparently, Ms. Albright will go on about how this war is a mistake and Saddam was not a threat, blah, blah, blah. How would she know? This woman did not see any threat to the U.S. during her tenure as Secretary of State. She wouldn't know a threat if it bit her in the ass. The entire Clinton administration had its head in the sand for 8 years while al-Qaeda prepared for its war on America. Now, the NY Times is doing all it can to put us back to the time where the U.S. had its head in the sand and ass up in the air.

It's because the scientists who spout this nonsense get paid to, in essence, spout nonsense. There's a lot of money that goes to scientists to support this theory. If you uncover evidence that proves global warming is not the cause of a bad hurricane season, you are a threat to their gravy train.

Think about it. If you are a scientist who gets government grants for issuing reports on the effects of global warming, what are you going to do? Write up a report saying there are no effects of global warming? And if you are a scientist who receives government funding for your global warming thoeries and someone else is disputing your work with evidence to the contrary? What would you do? Lindzen explains what global warming alarmists do. They smear you and will do just about anything to discredit you.

Well, ok...a couple people asked me what happened to the blog. Maybe 3. I was extremely busy the past 6-9 months that any time on the computer that was not devoted to work, was slacking off. While we know that the Mainstream Media is overwhelmingly biased to the Left and downright obsessed with making the Bush administration and the Iraq war look as bad as possible, this research study shows just how bad it is.

Is it not bad enough that we face a threat called Islamofacism that is intent in bringing the world back to the 7th century of Islamic rule? We face an enemy that does not adhere to rules of war, has no respect for any human life, hates all that do not adhere to their sick perverse form of Islam, yet the media here and in Europe seem to either ignore these facts or flat out want them to succeed in order to make America and specifically the Bush administration look bad. It is disgusting to me that people like Katie Couric, Dan Rather, Maureen Dowd, and countless other "reporters" and "journalists", people who all make a very good living in this country continue to play into the hands of terrorist propaganda to settle perceived scores against this administration. It is SICK!

These people need to realize that Bush is president because he won. Get over it. He will be out of office in January 2009, maybe the person you want will be the one in office then, maybe not. But accept it and get behind your country for crissakes! This behavior would never have been tolerated during World War II because people had respect for each other then. They wanted their country to prosper. They wanted their country to win a war against facism and tyranny not unlike the current enemy we face today. But today people want to either be blind to the fact or flat out want their own country to lose! Unfathomable.

Last week there was a letter from Ayman al-Zawahiri (Osama's #2 man) to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi detailing the Islamofacist plan to bring the world to its surrender. In short they hope we leave Iraq soon (because we ran from Vietnam) so they can establish their Muslim state. From there, they intend to spread their evil faith throughout the entire Middle East extending to Asia. In the meantime, destroying and killing all who don't convert to their form of religion. In time, they will acquire the WMDs they seek from Iran or Pakistan and will turn them on the civilized parts of the world. So basically live your life in fear and misery 7th century style or be annihilated. This is not coming from the Bush administration. It is coming directly from the animals who want us all dead! Does anyone get it anymore?

A major part of their strategy is winning the propaganda war. Simply put, they want the American public to see and read daily of car bombings, GIs killed and overall chaos until people here think, "why are we letting our boys get killed for a bunch of ungrateful Iraqis? This is not worth it, let them kill each other." If that was the case, I would agree with that thinking. For the most part, I would be fine if they would go on killing each other halfway across the world, but that is not the long-term plan of the vermin who wage this un-holy war. The ultimate target is us. This is the world war of our time. Period.

That is why the coverage of this war sickens me on a daily basis. I hold the majority of the mainstream press responsible for TREASON. These soulless creatures play right into the other soulless creatures' grand master plan.

White supremacist movement from Texas is arming themselves for a war against disadvantaged minorities and their right to freedom. President Hillary Davis can tell they are "haters" and sends in the ATF just in the nick of time. America is saved!!!

A powerful congressman who claims he is dismayed with the state of education these days, proposes holding schools accountable for poor performance by cutting their budget and bussing the kids to better schools, is really lying. He really wants to hurt "the children" and cut education! President Geena Clinton always keeps "the children" as her top priority, therefore defeats this evil child-hater by announcing she will increase education funding by raising taxes. Finally, after months of persistance and fortitude of one woman and those who followed her, the The World Trade Center Memorial Cultural Complex run by the International Freedom Center is dead. Thanks to Debra Burlingame (whose brother was one of the pilots murdered in the 9/11 attacks), the Take Back the Memorial website, the New York Post and many others who would not let this George Soros-funded anti-American museum infest the sacred ground of the World Trade Center. Shame on King George Pataki, Mayor Mike Bloomberg, Chuck Schumer and Eliot Spitzer for letting this fester on this long.

The International Freedom Center was a wolf in sheep's clothing whose real intention was to show that it was partly America's fault that 19 mentally-deranged, sexually-repressed, Islamofascists flew two airliners into the World Trade Center, killing nearly 3,000 people. It's stated goal was to take us (ignorant) Americans on "a journey through the history of freedom." While this sounds like it should be a museum dedicated to the brave Americans during the Revolutionary War, it was far from it. It was more about freedom's failures and the cost of freedom on others. Their message to memorialize 2,974 murder victims: "it is not only history's triumphs that illuminate, but also its failures. The public will have come to see 9/11 but will be given a high-tech, multimedia tutorial about man's inhumanity to man, from Native American genocide to the lynchings and cross-burnings of the Jim Crow South, from the Third Reich's Final Solution to the Soviet gulags and beyond," according to whistle-blower, Debra Burlingame.

The leaders of the International Freedom (I mean, Hate America) Center are among some of the most despicable people in America today. The leader is Tom Bernstein, the President of the Human Rights First Center (another fuzzy, warm name for evil institution). These freedom lovers sued Donald Rumsfeld personally on behalf of the terrorists captured in Iraq and Afghanistan. A true patriot!

Other wolves exposed by Debra Burlingame are:

Michael Posner, executive director at Human Rights First who is leading the worldwide "Stop Torture Now" campaign focused entirely on the U.S. military. He has stated that Mr. Rumsfeld's refusal to resign in the wake of the Abu Ghraib scandal is "irresponsible and dishonorable."

Anthony Romero, executive director of the ACLU, who is pushing IFC organizers for exhibits that showcase how civil liberties in this country have been curtailed since September 11.

Eric Foner, radical-left history professor at Columbia University who, even as the bodies were being pulled out of a smoldering Ground Zero, wrote, "I'm not sure which is more frightening: the horror that engulfed New York City or the apocalyptic rhetoric emanating daily from the White House." This is the same man who participated in a "teach-in" at Columbia to protest the Iraq war, during which a colleague exhorted students with, "The only true heroes are those who find ways to defeat the U.S. military," and called for "a million Mogadishus." The IFC website has posted Mr. Foner's statement warning that future discussions should not be "overwhelmed" by the IFC's location at the World Trade Center site itself.

George Soros, billionaire founder of Open Society Institute, the nonprofit foundation that helps fund Human Rights First and is an early contributor to the IFC. Mr. Soros has stated that the pictures of Abu Ghraib "hit us the same way as the terrorist attack itself."

How these people got this far involved in the WTC Memorial in the first place baffles the mind. How they stayed this long in the ballgame is another matter. Since September 12, 2001, no one has displayed more ineptitude in rebuilding the World Trade Center than King George Pataki. After 4 years to the date, I still walk past the hole in the ground going to work. 4 years and all we have to show for it is a hole in the ground surrounded by gawking tourists taking pictures. One man has more control over this site than anyone and that one man has been an abject failure since day one. Pataki, against the majority of New Yorkers, jammed this monstronsity called the Freedom Tower down our throats and brought the International Freedom Center to the table and sat there and did nothing until well after they exposed themselves at dinner and had worn out their welcome well before dessert.

I could go on for hours about this, but I am afraid I will lose the 5 readers I have. Let's just say that when Pataki finally caved in to the public pressure and ended this travesty, it was a step in the right direction.

It a shame that it took 48,000 petitioners from Take Back The Memorial, the majority of the 9/11 murder victims' families, Police and Firefighters Unions, countless editorials by the New York Post, congressmen Vito Fosella and John Sweeney threatening congressional hearings to bring this to the forefront before Hillary Clinton and Rudy Guiliani finally weighed in and put too much pressure on King George to keep up this charade.

But the one person who deserves more credit than anyone is Debra Burlingame. She exposed this rat's nest from the very beginning and never once let up exterminating it. It's people like Debra Burlingame who make this country the greatest in the world and, at the same time, restore a little faith for people like me.

You Have Some Nerve to Talk

One tradition that former presidents have kept over the years is not to criticize their successors while they are in office. It was a classy thing to do and it was followed because former presidents knew just how tough the job was. In recent years, however, Jimmy Carter has been very critical of US policy and of George W. Bush in particular. I don't think much of what he said really carried any weight because he sounded like a feeble-minded, cranky old man. Not to say anything of his disastrous term in office.

Now, Jimmy Carter has company. Bill Clinton is back on the scene (wagging his finger again a la "I didn't have sexual relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky):

Yesterday, he went on a tirade about the Bush administration invading Iraq "virtually alone and before UN inspections were completed, with no real urgency, and no evidence that there were weapons of mass destruction."

The audacity of this guy to criticize the person who is tasked with cleaning up his mess is astounding. A fair amount of culpability for the attack resulting in the war on terror should rest on this man's shoulders. Of course, he would feel that there was "no real urgency" in dealing with Iraq. This is the man who let al-Qaeda get stronger and bolder with each attack that this guy didn't deem urgent enough to respond to. The first World Trade Center bombing got a few terrorists arrested. Other than that, two US embassies in Africa were bombed with no retaliation, the US Cole bombing, Saddam's plot to assassinate former president Bush, Saddam's decision to kick out UN weapons inspectors, Saddam's repeated defiance of the no-fly zone and firing on US pilots, and al-Qaeda's repeated threats to the United States were not urgent enough for Clinton to respond to. Sure, he fired some cruise missles and bombed an aspirin factory in Sudan, but that was more to take the focus on Monica's first day of testimony.

The only real urgency Bill Clinton had during his term in office was manipulating a chubby 21-year old intern with clear self-esteem issues, then trying to cover it all up. He spent more time covering up his scandals than dealing with a festering terrorist movement that ultimately took thousands of American lives in an entirely preventable attack. You sir, have some nerve to talk.

Right now the person in America enjoying her 15 minutes way too much is Cindy Sheehan. I have kept from writing about this person for the first 14 minutes and even had a big argument with my mother over her, but I cannot keep it in anymore.

Why does the left-wing fully embrace crackpots? Why not check out their latest leader in Bush bashing first before anointing he or she the leader of the anti-war movement or the "no WMD" bean spiller? If the left wing wanted any credibility, it would stop frothing at the mouth and think before trotting out poor souls who will say anything for adulation.

The latest lunatic liberals and the media try to give credibility to is running on 14:30 of her 15 minutes. The "peace mom" sure doesn't sound like a peaceful person at all. Judging from her soundbites, you would think she's a regular dinner guest of Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro. Or maybe, the PR spokesperson for Saddam Hussein or Osama bin Laden. Among Ms. Sheehan's peace talk:

"George Bush murdered my son." - Not the terrorist that shot him, the President himself killed him somehow.

Oh wait, her son..."wasn't killed by terrorists. He was killed by Shiite militia." Funny, she gives credibility to the people who killed her own son as a legit army.

"George Bush is the world's biggest terrorist." - Not Osama bin Laden, who was "allegedly" behind the 9/11 attacks, in her words.

"The US Government is a morally repugnant system." - No word on the Ba'athist system of government.

"America is not worth dying for." - It's a shame that many people have died for this woman's right to speak out against them.

Anyway, you get the gist. The woman is entitled to her opinion, but it is the blatant lies that are taken as fact from the mainstream media is what really makes me sick:

"The military recruiter misled Casey to enlist." I guess he was still misled when he re-enlisted.

"I say my son died for LIES. George Bush LIED to us and he knew he was LYING. The Downing Street Memos dated 23 July, 2002 prove that he knew that Saddam didn't have WMD's or any ties to Al Qaeda. I believe that George lied and he knew he was lying." - This one is a doozy. Her son re-enlisted in 2004, well after it was reported that there were no WMDs and this memo surfaced. Her son did not re-enlist in the military because of WMD lies.

But it is this one that should have alerted the left wing not to take this person seriously:

Cindy, 2004: "I now know he's sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis, I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith."

I really wonder what will happen to her when the final minute of her 15 minutes of fame runs out and her left-wing friends abandon her like so many of her family members have. What will become of her then? She'll have to live the rest of her lonely days knowing that she spit on her own son's grave for a small period of fame. Talk about selling your soul.

Why I Hate My Brother!

On a hot July Sunday in 1999, my phone rang. It was my brother calling to see if I was coming with him to go to the Yankee game. I was working and living in Rhode Island at the time and he was driving down from Newport, where we had summer rentals. I wanted to go so bad, but I knew I had work the next day and probably should be responsible for once in my life. It was a huge dilemma at the time because my family had tickets in the luxury box and it was going to be a great time. I told him to go ahead without me.

That day, I went to just about every bar in Newport looking for one that had the Yankee game on TV. Of course, not a single place had it. You see, Rhode Island is RETARDED. I will explain why another time. Anyway, I finally gave up and hit a bar with my friend and they had ESPN on. The sound was off, but the sportscaster was talking and there was a picture of David Cone posted. I started thinking, "Oh no, I hope he isn't hurt or something." Little did I know that I would feel much worse 5 seconds later. The next scene shown was the final out of David Cone's perfect game, the entire team is mobbing him and the Stadium is delirious.

My friend, Rover, was at the bar with me. He was studying to become a doctor. He explained to me later on that I went into a mild state of shock because my face went about 3 shades paler than it normally is and I had to hold onto the bar to keep from passing out. About that time, my brother is leaving me a voicemail on my phone screaming, "You won't believe this!!!...."

I got over it. I mean, I've enjoyed plenty of great moments at Yankee Stadium. I was in the locker room after they won the World Series later that year. But, still I should've been at that game.

Now, last week my brother had tickets behind home plate and he asked me to go for a mid-week afternoon game. I would have loved to have gone, but I had a lot of work to do and had a softball game that night so I decided that I couldn't do everything. You know, trying to be responsible and all.

The next day, I receive an email from my brother at the game and he is with The King, Jimmy Leyritz!!! One of the most clutch hitters ever. The one who started the last Yankee dynasty with his 3-run homerun against the Atlanta Braves to tie up Game 3 and avoid going 0-3 for the Series. The legend who hit the game-winning homerun in the bottom of the 15th in the playoffs against Seattle the year before (I was at that game). This is The King! When he was a player here, he heard about 2 brothers in the Bronx that recently became orphans and adopted them into his family. He was a true New Yorker even though he wasn't from here. I mean, the guy would take the 4 train to the Stadium! I love this guy!

So, here is why I hate my brother! hahaha. He is on the right. His boy Fitz is on the left taking my place at the game. The King himself, in the middle.

Just when you think the left-wing media cannot get any more despicable, a new low is reached. The Drudge Report has a developing story about NY Times investigative reporter Glen Justice who is hot on the case of investigating the adoption records of John Roberts' children!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! The kids are 4 and 5 years old!!!

This is worse than the unhinged liberal blog commenters calling the 4-year-old Jack gay because he was dancing during the announcement of Roberts' nomination.

I can't wait to see the backlash that comes of this. It is precisely this behavior that causes the Dems to lose more ground with each election.

However, if I were John Roberts, I would not be waiting for public opinion to rally behind me, I would march right into the NY Times office, grab Glen Justice by the neck and beat him senseless. In fact, even though I am not John Roberts, I'd still like to get a hold of this jerk.

Quibbling Over Semantics?

You say "Insurgent" and I say "Terrorist".

Definition of Insurgent:
noun - A rebel or revolutionary

Definition of Terrorist:
noun - A person who uses terrorism in the pursuit of political aims.

Given the use of the word Insurgent, one would draw the conclusion that the attacks on our soldiers and innocent civilians in Iraq would be the responsibility of an Iraqi REBEL group that wants an end to our occupation there and the beginning of their own sovereignty.

However, since the overwhelming majority of murderous attacks perpetrated in Iraq are done by foreigners, I would think that the Insurgent or Rebel label is wrong.

The appropriate way to describe those who carry out murderous attacks used to intimidate Iraqi citizens and lessen support for the War here in America, would be Terrorist.

Unfortunately, all major news networks (including Fox News!) continue to label the thugs who kill our brave men and women and innocent civilians with hidden bombs and sniper attacks in Iraq as Insurgents!!

Did anyone ever look up the word in the dictionary before giving these animals such a favorable description? Or, did we not want to offend filthy murderers by calling them Terrorists?

The Drudge Report quotes her, "The day Dick Cheney runs for President, I'll kill myself. All we need is one more liar."

At least she's throwing out all pretense of being objective like the rest of her ilk.

Please, VP Cheney, announce that you're running. The only regret would be that you didn't 30 years ago.

Aruban Hospitality

Although the story is tragic and it is a shame to see a young person with her whole life ahead of her stolen, I must say I have been sick to death of the news coverage of Natalee Hollaway's disappearance. For the past month, the cable news programs would have about 50 minutes of every hour dedicated to her disappearance. One thing that has been repeated over and over again is that the Arubans are upset about the media coverage because Aruba is a very safe island and its people and economy rely on tourism. If I heard that Aruba is safe and the people are friendly, I've heard it a million times!

I won't go through the whole heartbreaking story, I am sure you already know it. The girl's poor mother, Beth Holloway Twitty, has been searching for the truth about what happened to her daughter for over a month. During this time, she has seen 5 suspects arrested and later released. Imagine the frustration and heartbreak this woman must be going through!

Then, the other day, I saw Arubans protesting the media coverage of their island and some, in particular, attacking Holloway Twitty! Unreal! The woman lost her daughter and has been trying in vain for a month to get to the bottom of it and you are going to protest her?!?!

Well, I will say one thing. I will never, ever visit Aruba. Not because I fear for my safety, but because a lot of the people there are a bunch of jerks!

R.I.P. Admiral James Stockdale

I have to admit, when I saw the headline of Admiral James Stockdale's death, I kind of snickered and thought to myself, "Oh yeah, I remember that guy." However, after reading a bit on him, I am ashamed of my initial reaction.

Anyone who remembers the 1992 Vice Presidential Debate will remember Al Gore and Dan Quayle hammering each other on the issues while Adm. Stockdale started off with the famous "Who am I(?) Why am I here(?)" quote that had many thinking that we had an old senile man as a Vice Presidential candidate. He couldn't hear one of the questions (due to his hearing aid falling out) and on another, his answer was "I am out of ammo on that one." Let's just say he didn't come off too well.

Now, after reading what this great man did for his country, I have nothing but respect for him. Among his heroics:

Dropped the first bomb in North Vietnam
Flew over 200 missions in Vietnam
Was shot down and spent 7 1/2 years in a Vietnam POW prison where he was repeatedly tortured
Received 26 combat decorations
Received the Medal of Honor

Oh yeah, the reason why he had a hearing aid was because he was tortured for not giving up his fellow countrymen. Had I known all this, I never would have snickered and neither would have millions of other Americans. I doubt anyone would have ever done that to his face either because this was one great man and one tough son-of-a-bitch!
